Roland Schucht (Ph.D.)
Since more than 15 years, his work is dedicated to the precise development of genetically modified cell lines. He designed, fine-tuned and developed a technology for the stable expression of recombinant genes to market maturity. In different settings – academic and clinical research as well as in industrial research – he established successfully production cell lines for the generation of retroviruses (for gene therapy), antibodies, GPCRs and ion channels. In addition, he is coordinator and project manager for different scientific research consortia.
Tobias May (Ph.D.)
His research focuses for more than fifteen years on the development of biological relevant cell systems. During this time he developed several technologies for the functional immortalization of primary cells. His work is described in numerous peer-reviewed publications and resulted in several patents. In addition, his work was awarded e.g. by the „Innovationspreis 2008 der BioRegionen in Deutschland“ and the “Otto von Guericke Preis (2013)”. Up to now, he is responsible for the development of more than 50 novel mammalian cell systems.
